Dr.
Sue H. Romano( founder and administrator), is a graduate of Free Will Baptist Bible College in Nashville, TN, and North Carolina
State University. She holds a B.A. in Bible, English, and Missions; a M.A. in English/Linguistics; and a Ph.D. in Curriculum
and Instruction in Education. Dr. Romano has 24 years of experience in Christian education. She is a teacher, writer,
consultant, seminar speaker, and a wife and mother. Dr. Romano is active in her home church, Tippett's Chapel.
She is married to Dominick Romano and they have a beautiful daughter named Ana.
Mrs. Kathy Overton (academic advisor, office
manager, teacher) has been with Rejoice! for 3 years. She is an Oklahoma native. She is a graduate of Oklahoma
Baptist University, with a B.A. in German and a minor in Cross Cultural Ministry. She has a passion for missions, having
spent some time on the mission field in West Africa after college. She is active in the church choir and Women on Mission
group at Flat Rock Baptist Church in Youngsville. In her free time, Kathy enjoys reading, golfing, and spending time
with her husband, Jeffrey.
Mrs. Lisa Runyon (kindergarten) comes to Rejoice!
with many years of experience with early childhood education. She has been involved in children's ministry for ten years,
worked in the Johnston County schools for six years, and in another Christian preschool for three years. Mrs. Runyon and her
family are actively involved in their home church, Tippett's Chapel, where she is the director of Sparks, and also works in
children's church and Kidz Praize. Mrs. Runyon says, "I love kids and I love to watch them grown in the Christ."
This is evident in her classroom!
Mrs.
Frankie Musser (1st-2nd grades) comes to us with years of teaching experience with Wake County Public School System, as well
as a homeschool mom. A Winston-Salem native, Mrs. Musser graduated from Appalachian State University and is an active
member of Providence Baptist Church. Mrs. Musser and her husband Scott have three children.
Mrs. Jannett Wilson (3rd-4th grades) has been involved in Children's Ministry for
fifteen years. Mrs. Wilson and her husband Ryan are from Florida and they and their four children attend Raleigh First
Assembly Church. Mrs. Wilson's love
for children and heart for ministry make her a huge asset to Rejoice!
Rachel Ferrarini ( 5th grade) ia a graduate of Toccoa Falls
College. Mrs. Ferrarini and her husband attend First Alliance Church. her love for the Lord and for her students is evident.
Her background in counseling is also a plus!
Mrs. Kimberly Woods (middle school/high school
science and math) obtained a Bachelor’s of Science and Education from Central Michigan University. She has over
twelve years of teaching experience from both home schooling and classroom teaching. A love for the awesome creation of our
God and a love for music and theatre inspired her studies in both science and music. Working for Rejoice! Academy and Performing
Arts center is a fulfillment of the call she feels towards the ministry of a Christ-Centered education. Her students find
her classroom to be an exciting room with hands-on activities and thought provoking discussions that build young people up
in the Lord. Kimberly attends First Assembly where she serves in both youth ministry and children’s music ministry.
Ms. Elizabeth Haner (history, art, math, drama) obtained a Bachelor
of Arts in English-Drama with a Minor in History from Queens University of Charlotte. She and her son William attend
Providence Baptist Church. Ms. Haner has been involved with Rejoice! since 2006. Her many talents and abilities
make her a huge asset to both the academy and the performing arts center.
Mrs. Michaellynn Hughes (elementary music) is an active member of
Tippetts Chapel where she ministers along side her husband, Paster Bryan Hughes. She is involved in music and youth ministry,
and directs Kids Praize at Tippetts. Mrs. Hughes' love for the Lord, children, and music make her a valuable asset to Rejoice!
Mrs. Marian Horton, aftercare
worker, has been with Rejoice for four years. She is a member of Tippett's Chapel and is a great help in our aftercare
program.
Mrs. Sheila
Faison (library, performing arts) has been a part of Rejoice! for two years. Mrs. Sheila attends Tippett's Chapel and has
over 20 years of experience in customer service.
Mrs. Beverly Baker (aftercare) attends Cary Church of God. She
come to us with 16 years of experiance working with children. Mrs. Baker does an excellent job of overseeing our students
who need after school supervision.
Mrs. Cindy Flora (piano) came to
North Carolina in 2001. She lives with her husband and two children in Creedmoor. Mrs. Flora has a Master’s
Degree in piano performance from the University of Southern Mississippi and has been teaching private voice and piano lessons
for nine years.
Mrs. Marnie Johnson is our food service director and home economics
teacher at Rejoice! Mrs. Marnie has twenty years of experience in food service. She also holds a N. C. state CAN license.
Mrs. Marnie is the wife of David Johnson and she is involved in drama, Awana and children's church at Tippett's Chapel in
Clayton.
Mr. Bryan Hughes(middle school and high school Bible and computer),
has been with Rejoice! for five years. He is a graduate of Free Will Baptist Bible College and is the worship and
youth pastor at Tippett's Chapel in Clayton. Mr. Hughes teaches choir, private voice and private guitar. He is
a husband to Michaellynn and father to Bryce, Brant and Melia.
